Every generation contributes its own technical innovations.  Once it was the piano, before that the harpsichord, and so on... Today there are different tools that are evolving to best suit emerging needs.  Eventually, some of these will become our generation's Steinways.  But we are only a decade or so into this process.  Still, three ares of innovation stand out: 1) Music production software; 2) Tempo control technology; and 3) Music visualization technology.  All will be featured here in time...
