We typically provide private lessons to about 10 students annually at our center city studio.  Here, they begin to study the fundamentals of music, which haven't changed much in the past 500 years.  Basic music theory is a precursor to eventual harmony and counterpoint.  As students advance, we get Curtis conservatory musicians (some of the best instrumentalists in the world) to perform their works.  Some students have even been hired to produce original film scores while others have gone on to form their own bands and record labels.
